Tympanometry measures the movement of the eardrum and can quickly identify if fluid is trapped behind the eardrum, if there is negative middle ear pressure or if there are other pathologies or conditions of the middle ear. The test is non-invasive,  pain-free and takes only a few seconds to perform on each ear.

If fluid is present or any other middle ear pathology is identified, you will be referred you back to your GP for medical treatment or referral on to an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist.
