LYRIC & TINNITUS
Recent studies have shown the efficiency of the Lyric hearing aid for the management and treatment of tinnitus. Is Lyric suitable for everyone?
Lyric is designed for people with mild to moderately-severe hearing loss. Our clinicians will assess hearing loss, ear size and shape, medical conditions and lifestyle to determine if Lyric is the right choice.
Is Lyric waterproof?
Lyric itself is not waterproof, however it is water resistant. Showering & washing your hair are possible with Lyric. We make custom made swim plugs which we recommend to use when showering or enjoying activities such as swimming & surfing.
Do you require surgery for the insertion of a Lyric hearing aid?
No. Lyric is inserted and programmed by your clinician right here in the office. It also does not require any anaesthesia and the process of insertion in the canal is quick and painless. These aids can also be removed by the wearer at any point with a specially designed tool that will be provided upon insertion.
Can I get an MRI, X-RAY or CT scan whilst wearing the Lyric aids?
Your Lyric Hearing aid must be removed for an MRI, however will not be damaged or dislodge when undergoing an Xray or CT scan. You must inform your technician about the hearing aid prior to any scans, surgery or medical procedure.
What does the Lyric hearing aid cost?
Lyric hearing aids are sold on a subscription basis which means you pay an ongoing monthly fees. Your Lyric hearing device can be worn for months at time, allowing you the benefits of better hearing 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The cost of your Lyric hearing device depends on the length of your subscription.
